I have some chicken salad I am eating and just found out it expires jan 14th is it still ok to finish?!

Did you know that over $400 in food is thrown away each year because of false expirations. What you want to do is deterime wheter is says "Sell By : Jan 14" or "For Best Taste Use Before Jan 14"
or the last one, "Use By Jan 14". Once you find out which one you can really tell. The first one means the store must sell it before this date, the second one means what it says, and the third means its expired. Enjoy your salad, expired or not =P

If it smells bad or has an oder then I wouldn't finish it. If it looks ok and smells ok it probably is ok.
