Once opened, the jar should last at least 1 to 2 months under refrigeration. After this time, the top portion (exposed to air) may begin to darken in color and change in flavor, while the product below will remain unaffected for a longer period of time. At this stage, the discolored portion may be discarded and you can continue to enjoy the remainder of the jar. Since pickles are stored in brine, full of preservatives and is a lacto-fermented food, as long as your keeping it at 50F or below, it should last a long time.

Ive never heard of keeping bread in the fridge, we usually keep in out on the counter and after opening bread its usually good tell 2 weeks later. If you check the expiration date it will tell you when its gone bad even if you cant see mold. Dont eat anything passed the expiration date....
as more pickles, you will know if they are bad because they will be really soft, not hard or crunchy. Usually about 3-4 weeks in when they arent very fresh anymore and I wouldn't considering eating them after this. Again look at the expiration date every good item should have it.

Rate me best answer please:)

Pickles are preserved with vinegar and will last a very long time in the refrigerator. I love pickles so they aren't around very long, but as long as the rim of the jar is clean and the lid is secured after opening, they should last upwards of a year or more

never had pickles spoil so I would guess at least a month.
There is lots of sugar, salt and vinegar in them and all three items are a preservative.

I've always kept pickles (any type) for long periods of time in the fridge. Unless they smell or look funny, I wouldn't worry about it.

Usually until the "best by" date, unless your fridge isn't cold enough.

If they haven't been eaten within 4-5 days, buy smaller jars..but mostly they can be kept up to a month.
