What was this candy called?!

Question: What was this candy called?
When I was in elementary school (I'm a senior in high school now), there was a REALLY popular candy.. It was like gelatin and it had, what looked like, a piece of fruit in the middle. They came in these little plastic dome-shaped things. You peeled the top off and had to suck out the gelatin candy and then ate it. They stopped selling them because when kids were sucking them out of the dome, the candy went down the throats of a few kids and at least one was put into a coma. I don't know all of the details because I was just a kid, but that's what I remember. What were the names of these things??? I can't remember and it's killing me! 100 awesome points to anyone that knows what I'm talking about!
