How long before an opened hawaiian punch container left out becomes bad?!

Question: How long before an opened hawaiian punch container left out becomes bad?
I opened a hawaiian punch container and drank some and left on the counter with the lid placed back on. How long will it last out of the fridge? It does specifically say, "keep refrigerated" right on it. is it a matter of hours, overnight, days, weeks? Where could I find specifics for this type of situation? There is sugar in it, so it is not "sugar-free" and it is in just a normal plastic container.

You're safe if it was overnight. Air is what causes bacteria to grow on food. You could even drink it after several days, but I wouldn't. When it comes to food safety, the best motto is "When in doubt, throw it out."

It depends on the environment. Usually, though, you'd be just fine. The time line is so dependent on where it was sitting and the stuff it was around, that it could be from a matter of minutes to days before it's unhealthy. "Minutes" is an extreme example of the drink in a heavily contaminated area, like a petri dish for experiments, or if it sat in kitty litter, as examples, both for bacteria infestation and mold growth.

I would toss the punch, but I think for most people that live in a clean environment, and if your health is good, your body could probably digest it fine after letting the drink sit for a day and have no ill effects.

I've drank 1 month old water even though it was obviously contaminated. I've done the same thing with milk. It all depends on the person and the environment.

I would say about 2 days maybe

a few days
