silver tents to get tarnished over time no what what kind.
goto your jewlery store and buy a silver cleaning cloth, give them a rub and they will be shiny as they were when you first bought them.

what ever you do dont put vinegar on it to clean it, it will be shiny but 10x the speed of getting a darker tarn to it.

you should never wash silver, just plunge them into warm water. You can buy silver polish in the supermarket in the cleaning section.

They're tarnished. You just need to polish them. They are a dozen different ways to do it. Find the one that meets your criteria for time, cost, and convenience

probably from rusting.

Did you polish the tarnish off?
