That's right you feed a cold and starve a fever. Drink plenty of liquids and rest in bed and take aspirin. That is what we were always taught.

Real/proper orange juice (note not squash) is full of Vitamin C so will help you fight off or prevent things like colds etc. Your body cannot store vitamin C though so you need to consume fresh fruit & veg everyday to get a good dose of the stuff, but if you consume more vitamin C than what is needed you will just pee it out. So i guess if you drink excessive levels of orange juice you will go to the toilet a lot.

I'm not sure that drinking orange juice really helps but you do need to keep hydrated. Keep warm and keep eating. You can take over the counter remedies for blocked noses, sore throats etc, but you just have to let it run its course i'm afraid.

Keeping up your fluids when unwell is good and orange juice is rich in vitamin C helps ward off colds in the first place.Side effects, possibly a bit of acid reflux or loose bowels if you really drink loads.

It'll flsuh out all the invading microorganims out of your system. So you may feel a slight diarrhoea.

If you drink orange juice alot... u wee alot :-S LOL! nah well its got vitamin C in it so it would help boost your immune system.

hmmm well it gives you alot of vitamin c and helps your bones etc.

Always end up with a bad attack of GOUT,and boy does it hurt !
