Black coloration on thai bird eye chilies?!

Question: Black coloration on thai bird eye chilies?
I bought thai bird eye chilis from the oriental grocer and some have a black coloration to them. It's more spread out then having "spots" of black, so I was wonder if they are okay and if this is just the coloration of the chili itself. Below is a picture of some of the chilis in question. Thanks!

It's could be because they are dehydrated. Drying green chillies will turn them a fairly discouraging black colour while they are drying. This is not a problem - it's normal - don't panic. Most of the green will return later when they are rehydrated.
