Question: I have a question about food longevity in certain types of cans?

i like to save cans of food, in preparation of a "SHTF" scenario. the cans of soup that have the tabs you pull up, do those protect food as well as the cans that you need a separate can opener to open? i wouldnt think so because the seal is so thin. i just need reassurance that i am correct.

If it's canned, it has to be as safe . There's a law fo that.
On the other hand if you freak about it, just make sure you have a a can opener handy. I have several.
