A macerator toilet is one that will chop up the waste to make it easier to handle.
It is electric and has blades similar to a food mixer.
They are often used on inland waterway boat for ease of disposal
Do not put anything down that you havnt eaten. apart from toilet paper.
They are difficult to clean if you do

I have one on my boat

Macerator Toilets are the same size, and look the same as normal toilets, except they have a grind pump box behind the toilet, which basically, grinds up anything that goes down the toilet before it actually goes anywhere. These toilets are helpful in areas that have low water pressure, or below sewage lines.
Here is a picture of what YOUR grinder pump box might look like (if you have one!)

The macerator has a little button on top which flushes, rather than a handle connected to the tank.
Go for the normal one, it saves you a lot of trouble and it's easier to flush down a normal one.
However if your into saving water, the macerator often has the option to use less water per flush

that toilet is one with a pump attached to it. look it up on the internet for more info.
