What's the best way to preserve an art project made out of vegetables?!

Question: What's the best way to preserve an art project made out of vegetables?
I'm making an art project out of real vegetables and I was wondering how long I could keep it. None of them are cut or peeled, or in any way altered from the way they were in the store. So they all still have the skin on. How long do you think my project would last in the fridge if I hot glued the veggies to a canvas board? Would there be any better way to preserve how it looks long-term other than refrigerating it?

Answers:

Not really. I suggest taking a lot of photos.

I am guessing that your project will last perhaps a week in the refrigerator.

Try shellacing the fruit before you glue it in place

Just thought it might work

take a picture of it...
