This recipe could actually last without wrapping for quite some time. But storing them in some sort of plastic would make them last longer. Sugar is also a preservative. I say put them in a wrapper, its much more fun to eat that way.
Just looking at it.
As long as you keep them wrapped or put in something (ziplock baggie, foil, saran wrap, air tight container) they should last for a long time. So yes, they can be kept like candy in a wrapper.
