Something ive always wondered...

nitrous oxide.

some people use it as a recreational drug to produce a short disorienting high.

can be dangerous, but it is somewhat mild in a whipped cream can.

concentrated nitrous oxide can be more harmful and is not commonly as a "whip-it"

common knowledge

Yes it is nitrous oxide and could be harmful if you inhale a lot of it, but not the tiny amount that is used in a can of whipped cream.

If it's harmful, I'm the most unhealthy person in the world.
Haha, no. I don't think it's harmful. :) But I don't know what gas it is...

Nitrous Oxide. It's non-toxic. If it was toxic, it would be illegal to use it in a food product.
