Why is it when you eat a burger, one of the buns is longer than the other?!

Question: Why is it when you eat a burger, one of the buns is longer than the other?
I know, it's an odd question but it's always bugged me. Why is it when you're eating a burger and you're nearing the end, the buns end up uneven with either the top or the bottom bun is shorter than the other?

Answers:

Due to the filling being slippery one half of the bun slides a fraction at a time with each bite thus when you are near the end you have slightly more of one half left than the other.

because the factory always presses the bottom of the bun more than the top bun of the hamburger, this way the bottom is stronger and can hold more, therefore the bun i longer than the top one....

Never noticed that.

Because they just slap it together.=)

Yea,annoying isnt it
