Yes they do go bad. Throw them away. They are really cheap to buy or you can make your own. Just microwave a few slices of bread or some dinner buns for 1-3 minutes until they are hot. Check them every 30 seconds or so so that they don't burn. When they cool, they will dry out. Use a blender or crush them with a rolling pin or you can use cracker crumbs. Make them the same way and substitute.
First, why would you eat them?
Yes, mold, if not frozen. Even if they were its possible to still develop bacteria, and frost burn.

Yes,I think it is a really bad idea. Something from 2 yrs. ago won't be edible.And if you did eat them, you'll probably get an upset stomach.
