Craving all kinds of nuts. What could that mean?!

Question: Craving all kinds of nuts. What could that mean?
Beside the occasional use of peanut butter and that's really rare I never really eat nuts. Once a couple years ago I think I got some pistachios for my husband but, all I want to eat the last couple of days are nuts, walnuts would be best but anything. I have a huge jar of unsalted planters mixed nuts and I can't stop eating them.

Normally I don't even like them. Every year i make 3 large tins of chex mix for my family, and when I take a bowl for myself I pick out the nuts and give them to my husband. Everything i find on line seems to correlate with wanting nuts when your watching your weigh, but i'm not on a diet. I'm 24 and have been the same normal weight since I was 19. I eat healthy and I'm starting to worry I must be lacking something in order for me to want all these nuts. Protein? What could it be.

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.=)

In addition to being rich in protein, nuts are a great source of fiber, phytonutrients and antioxidants like Vitamin E and selenium. They are also a great source of natural fat, which is why people on diets might crave them, and why they should be eaten in moderation. I am a big believer that if you are craving something, it's because your body needs it, so I would definitely indulge in a big handful of whatever nut you are craving, or a mixture.

Congratulations! You're pregnant!

I agree with the other Y!A - your body needs something that is contained in the nuts.
