How much do restaurants buy fish for?!

Question: How much do restaurants buy fish for?
Like catfish, tilapia.

Answers:

typically when restaurants buy fish meat or produce we will pay 1/2 the price
for example you know the pre packaged spring mix you buy in supermarket for $3.50 a bag?
well we buy a case (3 pounds) for $7.95
yours will last about 3 days
ours can last 1 week and a half..

Probably straight off the fisheries daily.
They may get a 'special price' for their daily order.

The big chains that have big demands probably buy in bulk at about 2/3 of retail.

thats the beauty of it, we don't know?

i'd go check the wholesalers...
