Can Mormons drink soda?!

Question: Can Mormons drink soda?
Answers:

Hello. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who drinks 7 Up, Sprite, Sierra Mist, root beer, Squirt, ginger ale, Sun Drop and rarely Mountain Dew, Vault and Jones Blue Bubblegum; I personally don't do Coca Cola, Pepsi or Dr. Pepper.

That good enough for you?

Depends, I know people who drink Ginger Ale and Sprite because it non-caffeinated. But they abstain form Coke, Pepsi, and Mountain Dew because it contains caffeine. It is up to the individual. Nothing in the Word of Wisdom says "caffeine" but because Tea and Coffee has considerable amounts of it it is usually interpreted as such.

You're not going to looked down upon if you drink a glass of Dr.Pepper.

What we are not to drink is coffee and tea. Nothing is ever mentioned about caffeine or anything like that.

So, yes, we can drink sodas without having to worry about losing our temple recommends.

Yes.
Just not caffinated. Caffeine is against the word of wisdom, but sodas without caffeine, like Sprite, Root Beer, Fanta, etc. are fine :)

yes but it is recommended we do not drink caffinated soda.

I used to have a co-worker who was mormon and he drank sode like crazy b/c that is like their loophole to have caffeine :)

Yes. And when they laugh, they can snort it out their noses, too. And just like with real folks, it can really hurt!

Yes
