What type of vegetable cooking method retains all the nutrients, or most?!

Question:

What type of vegetable cooking method retains all the nutrients, or most?

Answers:
steaming is the best way to preserve all of the vitamins

Steaming.

Cook your veg in a steamer,To retain all the nutrients.

Normal cooker - steaming

Better is to microwave in a sealable plastic bag, with just a knob of butter & a tiny amount of water

Steam cooking in a steamer pot that is similar looking to a deep fat fryer. They are available at Wal-Mart.

Steaming til they're tender crisp. Other than eating them raw, or juicing them, this method of cooking retains the most nutrients.

If you don't peel a veg it keeps its nutrients. Baked potato has more nutrients then a boiled potato. Carrots cooked in a low amount of water will retain its nutrients. Look into waterless cookware. It lasts forever and you can use very little water because the lids seal as soon as it starts to boil.

Woking comes close because they're only in there for seconds. And it tastes the best.

I like stirfry myself, the short cooking time means lots of nutrients are retained and it tastes good too!
