Saturated fat?
When I look at food labels, I all ways see saturated fat. Is sat. fat all ways animal? In what foods could it not be?

saturated fats are fats from animals. manufactures tried to rename those fats as trans fats but now they have to disclose that to the public. saturated fats clog the veins and eventually may cause heart attacks and/or strokes.
safest thing to do is read the package and shop the produce department.

No it's not always an animal product. Plant products can have saturated fat as well, just nomally not as much. Cholesterol on the other hand is always from an animal.
Saturated fat can be animal fats OR tropical oils, ex palm or coconut oil. It depends on what the ingredients say whether or not it contains animal. There are some more helpful lists of animal products to avoid, but here's the first I found. http://www.vnv.org.au/animalproducts.htm...
other things besides animals have saturated fat. go low on the amount you consume, saturated fat is bad for you.
Coconut contains saturated fat so go easy on it, but if you cut out meat you're on the right track as animal products contain the most saturated fat.
saturated fat means that all the carbons on the chain have hydrogen attached to them, thus it's saturated and can hold no more. Unsaturated has some filled carbons on the chain and some empty. Although it's better for you to eat unsaturated fat, many go for the saturated. For example, peanut butter with the oil on top is better for you because it's unsaturated, but because the hydrogenated, or saturated, kind looks better more people buy it.
It usually comes from animal fat of some kind.
