Does anyone take plant (digestive) enzymes?!

Question:

Does anyone take plant (digestive) enzymes?

I understand you can take them even if you do not have any digestive problems, it's purpose is to give your body more enzymes because over time, your body produces less of them (due to all the digesting of cooked and processed foods) and the less you have the more your the health is affected. 1) Is it safe to take these enzymes? 2) Will the body start depending on them if you stop taking them? 3) What is your experience taking them? Thank you in advance.

Answers:
ok well i take them because im vegetarian

now..

1.) yes it is safe to take them

2.)no i can stop taking them whenever i want to i havent taken one in weeks

3.) well them help my digestive system they make it easier i would say to digest food like my stomach doesnt hurt as much since i have been taking them and they make me feel healthier

could not tell ya

I take them at every meal. I have low stomach "acid". meaning I don't have enough to properly digest my foods, leads to Anemia. They make a big difference in the quality of my health.
As people get older their "acids" lower & it helps for them to take suppliments also.
You will not become dependent on them your body will take up the slack.

i take beano for peppers and onions. is this what you are talking about? they are non-addictive and work well. also, totally safe

i eat pineapple and papaya whenever i need "help", and i alway have papaya enzymes in my brief case.. call it insurance. i really need it with onions or bell peppers. considering that i hardly use the "pills" i can't imagine that you could get hooked. just eat more pineapple and papaya if you have digestive problems. they will help you heal i think.
