Is Domino's 'Demerara Washed Raw Cane Sugar' vegan?
ie. Is it filtered through bone char?

Answers:
Sugars are never filtered through animal products, once the cane has been chopped and the juice extracted it is boiled and then set on to rollers to chill it and once cool it is ground or broken up and re heated, white sugar has all the molasse taken out, were brown sugar has extra added to keep it soft.
Any product marked raw or organic would have been processed with all the molasses or come from organically grown cane, I use a product from a local bulk store called Organic Cane Extract granules, they do filter out the bits of cane residue, but the process is never done with bone char.
