What is the pro reason for vegetarians?!

Question:

What is the pro reason for vegetarians?

What if you are not very keen on veg and other plant foodstuff like me?

Answers:
some people don't eat meat i say "do what ever floats your boat"

No meat.

you get healthier dosage. after all. if we were to compare both extremes of eating only veggies and eating only meat its definitely more beneficial due to all the nutrients and the lessened amount of unwanted fats in your body. also a meatless diet isnt really detrimental to the body as long as you take in everything you need. but if you were to eat all meat that would be totally unhealthy. and the main pro reason on why we should all become vegetarians...

we get to save all the animals!!!

Well - its probably a moral choice that someone makes to try keep from killing other animals to survive. Some think there are passages in the bible that calls for this. Some think they are cleansing the body. The main problem is trying to get enough energy from the food to keep the body going but they do have substitutes which are probably OK. Go to your local grocery store and give the substitute a try.

Some people say that killing animals for their meat is cruel, some say that meat is making them fat, some say that it's risky to eat pork (parasyts) or just because veggies are better and tastier than the meat. I say that it's better to eat normal quantities of everything: meat, veggies, milk and eggs beacuse they give you energy for the whole day. Don't forget to eat meat at breakfast! It's the most important meal!

Eating animal products contribute to diabetes and heart disease. Caldwell Esselstyn, MD, works from the Cleveland Heart Clinic, and has shown that a plant-based diet can halt or even reverse heart disease.

Humans originally survived on a plant-based diet. Raising animals and being in close proximity to them has given us all the major viral epidemics.

You can float your own boat, if you want to eat animal products. I lost my dad to a heart attack 30 years ago. Since going vegetarian, I lost 25 pounds, and my good and bad cholesterol levels are in the right place. My physician told me, "Whatever you're doing, keep it up."

Well I'm not sure if you're asking our opinions about vegetarians or not. I became a vegetarian because I feel its cruel to eat meat. It can also be healthier, but I have a fast metabolism to begin with so I couldn't really tell you about that. There are so many vegetarian products out there that you couldn't tell if it was real or not. Morning Star Farm products are so yummy so is Quorn :D You can find these products in most grocery stores. You could always try out a vegetarian burger and see how you like it :)
