Would you judge a vegetarian?!

Question:

Would you judge a vegetarian?

I go to school with a ton of people who judge me beocause I don't eat meat. So would you make fun of a person or give them hell for what they eat.

Answers:
There is abundant literature out there about the health benefits of vegetarianism, aside from the moral and ethical reasons. Since you are all young and healthy they have not yet seen what a lifetime of meat eating can do to a person! To answer your question, after all, I do not want to be judgmental on the other side, I would not try to impose my views on eating to other people nor would I criticize their eating habits, BUT if people persist in being judgmental I would give them a piece of my mind concerning why I personally made the choice, remembering to keep it simple and straightforward.

no...but i'm not a schoolgirl, either...kids can be real mean

no. being a vegetarian doesnt matter at all. they must be a bunch of retards =)

no. u are either a vegetarian because u don't like meat or u think its wrong to kill animals which is standing up for what u believe in. Vegen are different tho.

Not unless they were in my face about it. Hard-core vegans set my teeth on edge.

the people you go to school with are fools

no when would i care what they eat

Nah, that's their deal. Tell them to find something real to ***** about and stop being a large cross section of douchebags.

I don't care what you eat or sleep with, as long as it's consensual. As long as you don't glare disapprovingly at me when I savor my broiled slab of medium rare dead cow, I won't dis your tofu and bean sprouts.

i say, ur the best gurl out there.
meat makes u fat. unless u work out for it.
people cant and shouldn't judge u on the content of ur color, religion or culture(food, clothing ......ect) but the content of ur character.

its not the what goes in BUT what comes out.

like they use whale blubber or fat to make lipstick or whatever.

only if they had something to say every time i ate a chesseburger. if you leave them alone and they still give you sh!t, tell them to get fucked

No, I would never judge or make fun of any person because of what they eat.

Not at all. However, I would be very interested about your reasons for becoming one. (learning experience) Who knows I may become one. It is really fun interacting with people that are different. The experience is very stimulating and you always learn something.

I certainly wouldn't make fun of you for chosing to do something you beleive in. We all make choices and do things that differ from other people and most of the time people are sensible enough not to pass judgement.

It illustrates how shallow some people are when they judge you because of a choice you have made, especially when it's a choice that affects no-one but yourself.

Do what you beleive is right and ignore the idiots.

Kids can be jealous of others their age who have the maturity to be dedicated to a lifestyle. They just want to get a reaction from you. Ignore them, laugh it off, and they'll get tired of bugging you. Who knows? Maybe you'll be able to convert a few.

People judge what they don't understand. They're likely judging you out of ignorance. I would try hard not to take it personally.

As long as you're respectful of their right to eat what they want, you'll do fine. Don't judge THEM for what they DO eat :) and then you can always say "I respect your right to your opinion and your right to eat what you want. I've never intentionally been rude to you because we have different views. Can you respect my right to eat what I want and think what I want? I'm not hurting you or anyone else by not eating meat.... is there a reason it offends you so much?"

:) Just be proactive and make sure you never give them a reason to pick on you. (Not that school-age people NEED a reason...)

I don't eat meat, either. People who hassle others because they'd rather not consume decaying animal flesh are beyond my comprehension.

Nope! Do what feels right, and F*&# what they think!

I think that each person should eat what they want to. Just make sure you include proteins ( legumes and such) in your diet. The only time I think what someone is eating is nasty is on Fear Factor. Other then that pass the salad.

i have never judged some one that is a vegetarian, and would never do it because i respect the decision. as long as you respect i'm a carnivore and do not bug me about why i shouldn't be every time i eat i dont really care. now if you always talk about how the animals are being tortured, then i'll judge you and bully u. but not until then, not until u won't stop fussing about why people should be vegetarian.

Of course I wouldn't
Your choice what you eat!

no

no. but im vegan so...i know what you are talking about. i just try to keep my diet on the dl so i dont have to heard the many various responses that go along with our eating habits. :) just give em hell.

Well seeing as I myself am a vegetarian I wouldn't judge another vegetarian. I get **** all the time though! For example I went on a school field trip to Washington D.C. We stopped at this little deli place (that totally over priced my food!). I got a veggie wrap because it was the only vegetarian choice they had. So I'm sitting outside with my friends (that I only met this year) and one goes "What are you eating grass?" I said "No it's sprouts" and she gave me a disgusted look and went "How can you not enjoy a nice juicy steak" that kind of **** pisses me off. I'm not juding YOU when you're eating meat so don't judge me when I'm eating my vegeterian meals. Someone on here said "Vegans are a different story" or something to that extent, why would you judge them? Pretty hyporcitical if you ask me. My advice to you hun is to really not try to bring up that you're a vegetarian unless someone asks. I know it's a free country but you see how they treated you when they found out that you're a vegetarian. I still support you though, so if you ever need to talk to someone feel free to e-mail. How long have you been a vegetarian for?

No.

im a vegetarian and get juged by my own grandmother! so, no. i dont juged people on what they eat unless they push their veiw on you and say stuff like "animals are supposed to be eaten". really? because you're tecnically an animal. are you suppsed to be eaten?

I, being vegan, would definitely not judge you for your choices.

Don't worry. You will get to a point in life where you don't care what people think. Until then, stay true to what you believe.

I'm a vegetarian since 2nd grade and this always happens to me. Just remember VEG POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
