Do people feel guilty about eating non veg/animals/flesh?!

Question:

Do people feel guilty about eating non veg/animals/flesh?

Answers:
No, because we humans are also animals of this planet and we have incisors and canines to shear meat. This alone is proof positive that we must eat meat.

nope cos I'm vego

no, i think meat is quite tasty. why would i feel guilty?

I used to feel bad for the poor cows and chickens but we are omnivours.

I feel guilty if there is only one type of animal in my meal. The more the better!

Obviously not. If they did feel guilty, they would be vegetarian.

A vegetarian diet is legitimate and logical only as a matter of good health. If it is because of "guilt" over eating an animal, it is illegitimate and illogical in that there is a bias in that related to the size of an animal and it's worth, the larger the animal, the more value is its life. Everytime we walk, breathe, rub our hands, wash our bodies, clean our homes, drive over the road, take anti-biotics, etc., we are "murdering" small animals, most which are simply too small to see without the aid of a lens. It is bias to place value on life based on only those animals that we can easily notice. If we assign value only to largeness of animals, then certainly elephants have more "rights" to live than do humans. There should be sensibility about the good health of a vegetarian diet, not guilt about eating animals that are "sacred" in their largeness. (I cannot bring myself to boil a live lobster to death. But, I sure live to eat them. And, fried little bird arms. And, as for lower lifeform genocide, I'm absolutely wicked with chemicals that murder spiders, ants, strep and mold. Bleach is god.)

i really don't think anybody really thinks so much to feel guilty in the first place.

i know that when i, myself, eat meat, i do not think to myself "hmm... i wonder how this cow was raised"

i do not feel guilty, because i do not ever really think about it in the first place

Ive really been trying to eat more healthy, non meat products. But i cant. i cant help it. i grew up as a meat eater. But i am still trying. :)

of course not, our bodies need meat

Some people do, but humans are naturally omnivorous. That means that meat is a natural part of our diet. I'm not fighting against nature, and I don't consider myself above animals. I'm an animal just like all other animals. Carnivores feel no guilt about eating meat. It's only the human conscience that causes some people to feel guilty. We're part of the food chain, and that includes meat.

Well, as a veggie eater myself, I certainly feel moral superiority for my diet.

That said, I will accept meat eaters if they are willing to hunt their food animal, kill it with their bare hands, skin it, gut it and dress it with no more than a knife, and still be able to eat it.

Most omnivores I know can't or won't, so they shouldn't eat meat.

I don't want to, nor do I need to, so I don't eat meat.

No.

As my son says "We are purely non vegetarian." I enjoy my non vegetarian dishes and do not feel guilty at all about eating flesh. Its a way of life for us.

The logic that "we are taking lives" really does not hold much water for me because my way of thinking is that even eating vegetarian food is taking life. Plants are living beings too.

Technically speaking, the plant kingdom has some of the longest surviving species of them all.The oldest known P. albicaulis is almost 1300 years old at least.

So being a vegetarian BECAUSE it does not involve killing is bull in my opinion.

PS "I personally love vegetarian food ."

Hi Dhanashre Vhatkar, I personally feel that ur question is
good question & needs to be answered appropriately by
several Yahoo subscribers. since the human being has
taken birth on this planet, the use of non-veg (animal flresh) has increased greatly & this is enough proof that
people don't feel guilty eating non-veg. If you see any
country on this earth, due to high prices of meat as compared to veggies, more and more people were eating
veggies but as soon as any country has started economic development,as a result of which, people's earnings started increasing & with this use of meat also started soaring and this also is a good proof that people don't feel guilty of eating flesh. Take even case of India, where more and more people were eating pulses & vegetables but as soon as economic development started, use of meat started going up and in fact, in future more and more Indians will start eating meat without feeling guilty. Honestly speaking, when you personally see any animal being killed, you definitely feel guilty for a short time but as soon as you are away from that scene, your guiltness runs away and even after watching an animal being slaughtered in your presence, you again start eating meat without guilt. No doubt, there are isolated cases under which a very limited people feel really guilty and quit eating meat but generally speaking, people do not feel guilty. An average Indian feels that
Indian's majority people is vegetarians but as per confirmed news, around 80 percent people are non-veg &
most of the vegs. are located in the south of India. Repeating, with more and more economic development, use of meat shoots up and in this regarding, all developed
nations are live proof. In conclusion, meat products are
important for our body because it is the meat products which can give you the best quality of proteins and fats,
which are very important for the development of our muscles and bones. God bless you & all. Take care.

I eat meat and I sure don't.

In my opinion it's natural, and completely justifiable from all perspectives. I do not think eating meat is bad nor wrong, and it doesn't bother me that the bacon in my sandwich was running around a few weeks ago, nor that I am benefiting from it's death.

No i dont feel guilty about it.

NOPE!!!! Absolutely not!! Why should I? Prove that it is wrong and that God didn't intend for us to eat animals and I might think it over. But you can't, so I don't feel guilty!!!!

Not, if you know that plants also have life.

No, not at all.Do you? If you feel guilty then I suggest you please dont be because as KNOWN conviced plants also have life.

people who eat non veg will not feel guilty if they wuld then they wuld not eat .
perhaps for me i cannot eat as thinking of eating meat makes me feel sick.

but fact is this also that if all people living on this earth wuld eat vegetarian food then there wuld have been scarcity of veg food so people who eat non veg r blessings for us.

thank u to non veg eaters.

To keep the cycle going on and to keep the nature in balance, or you will find 14 billion in sheep, may be a trillion of chicken around this world to assist them there will be another 10 billions cows and buffaloes against the population of 7 billion human beings. Just imagine what'd be our condition with all those beasts present in this world and God forbid, if there is an out break of an epidemic it will be the dooms day. You should be thankful to us.
