What's the most cruel/shocking/unnatural method used in factory farming...?
...in your opinion.I think the most shocking one is how they feed cows to other cows. What do you think?
Answers:
Your information is old, they can't do that in the US or Canada anymore, and we don't import meat from countries that do that.
EDIT
If you want shocking try this.

It's been estimated by an Ohio University fact sheet that we actually eat 1 to 2 pounds of insects each year, unintentionally.
"Organic food is probably worse," says Kroger. "Think about it. When you're using raw animal waste as fertilizer and less pesticides, it's much more difficult to keep organic foods free of defects."

I like larva, though.
Why not check into coal mining, first of all, as in "human" farming providing the electric you are using to ask your question, then worry about cows??
Here is a link which shows a video about how they kill animals for food. I am sure if you watch this video, you would not touch meat for days ....

I saw a video where they were throwing chickens against a wall to kill them. As if that wasn't bad enough, the force of the throw wasn't always enough to kill them so the poor things would be flopping around, suffering.
I've heard that they feed chickens to other chickens, too. The whole process is really sick, in my opinion.
first, they cut the chickens throat, then hang them in chains, and then they boil them, some get boiled alive if they didnt get there throat cut.
And if they drop to the floor, workers just leave them there to suffer and die.
so sad...
what about those poor little mushrooms they keep in the dark and feed shiit to!!!!
I would suggest that you check out this site: www. goveg.com
It is ran by peta, an animal rights group. click on the Why vegetarian section and then read...and be shocked.
Enjoy....and try not to cry
I think the fact that they factory farm animals in the first place is the most shocking thing about factory farming.
When most people buy beef, they think that cow had a happy easy life in a big green pasture like the ones on the California cheese advertisement. Few beef or even dairy cows are so fortunate. If they knew that the cows are standing shoulder to shoulder in a barren field, with no room to move around at all and standing knee deep in their own crap, they would think twice about eating the meat. I have seen the factory farms in Colorado and the stench from those places is the most horrible thing I have ever smelled. It takes your breath away.
They are not allowed to do that in England due to our two BSE outbreaks. They think that this Macabre practice caused BSE and vCJD.
For me it is a toss-up between that and 'so-Called' hygenic Halal meat production . You have seen 'Fast food Nation.' Could you ever marry the Concepts of ' Meat production' and 'Hygeine'? I can't.
Oh and Happy New Year!!!
