What does tofu taste like?!

Question:

What does tofu taste like?

Answers:
Tofu most certainly DOES have a taste. It's comparable to baby lima beans, and is delicate.

Tofu is luscious dredged in cornstarch, fried, and then used as a bed for stir-fried shrimp (I had this often in Japan; very good!).

Tofu has a very simple, plain taste. However, it is very versatile and if you cook it with seasoning or in a sort of stir fry for example, it absorbs the taste of what it is cooked with.

Basically, tofu doesn't have a lot of flavor by itself. It tends to take on the flavor of whatever your cook it with.

yuck!

Tofu takes on the taste of whatever it is cooked with. It doesn't really have a taste. And you can use it for almost anything.

tofu doesn't have a taste it's self, but it absorbes what ever it's cooked in.

tofu is like a sponge, you season it or cook it with something and it retains those flavors. its very versatile. i for one made a chocolate pie once made from tofu.
