Is there any nutrition in eating mushrooms? Vitamins?
Answers:
Contrary to what others have said, mushrooms do not have any B12. Unless perhaps you eat them unwashed with a lot of dirt and then the bacteria in the dirt might have some B12, but yuck.
Mushrooms also don't have much fiber.
Mushrooms don't have much of anything in them. Only 8 calories for a half cup of white mushroom slices. That cup will supply about 6% of a person's daily copper needs and 8% of riboflavin but that's about it, and that's not much.
There is a website called nutritiondata.com which is good for looking stuff like this up.

shrooms-lots of colors!
the only benefit to eating mushrooms is the fiber content and the fact that it takes more calories to digest them than what they contain.
mushrooms varieties can vary quite a bit, but in general, mushrooms have lots of fiber, nutrients, vitamins and anti-oxidants. they are low in calories, as well! enjoy!
Mushrooms are actually an excellent source of Vitamin D *if* they've been exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet light for 10 minutes (when raw!). This makes them the major non-animal source of Vitamin D.
Mushrooms also contain selenium and other trace nutrients.
Shiitake mushrooms enhance the immune system too.
