It's great for a boost in your calcium intake, but be careful for the sodium content is very high.

I like cottage cheese with a little pepper and salt. it taste great also with pineapples.

I've used cottage cheese in making a toss salad. It also good with celery salt as a side dish.

I love cottage cheese, I eat it with powdered jello mix, pepper, avocado, I some times dip doritos in it ( not all at once though ), I even like to eat it with fruit like apples, pineapple, grapes, and cantaloupe.

I don't know where you are, but if you live in the Midwest get some Oberweis Cottage Cheese. It rocks. Much tastier than Breakstone which was my former favorite. I find cheap cottage cheeses thin and salty so I avoid them as much as possible.

With Cottage cheese quality makes ALL the difference.

Do a search for something like "make own cottage cheese." In brief: heat a litre of milk to 190F; remove from heat, swirl in 2 tsp vinegar, let cool a bit, and drain. Swirl in a little cream after draining it if you like.

It's not my favourite for eating plain, but it cooks (in stuffed pastas, etc) _beautifully_.
