Hummus is an arabic dish prepared by peas and chana with olive oil toping..etc..and is more healthy than the chan or peas indians cook.. indian use chana and peas with lots of sweet oil and they cook it as well where hummus is not cooked..the grains are soaked in water and pasturized..

There is none.
Instead of hummus and pita, Indians (north and south) east roti or puri or bhatura (all types of flatbread) with chana or chhole which is chic peas cooked in a spiced gravy. The chic peas are whole, not pureed.
