I am a new vegan and I would like to easily identify foods that don't contain animal products.

It means its kosher.

You'll have to read the label to determine if the product contains milk or eggs. Kosher doesn't have anything to do with that.

and parve, meaning no meat, is safe to the jews as well.

It means the item is Kosher (Parever means acceptable) for use during Passover.

This means it is a Kosher Product.
