Here are a couple of my favourite simple to make wintery recipes:
Oven-cooked risotto (to make one large meal or two smaller ones)
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon oil (olive is best for you)
1/2 an onion
2oz long-grain rice (white or brown)
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder (if you like it)
1/2 a carrot
1/2 a red or green pepper
1oz frozen peas
1/2 small can of corn
1 cup vegetable stock made with half a stock cube
Use either a flameproof casserole dish or heavy pan:
Fry the onion in the oil until just soft.
Add add the rice and coat well with the oil.
Add all the other ingredients and bring to the boil.
If using a pan, carefully transfer the hot mixture into an ovenproof dish with lid.
Cover and cook in the oven at 350'F (180'C) for about 30mins, until the rice is fully cooked and the liquid absorbed.
Stir before serving.
Corn Chowder (for two people, or one large serving)
Ingredients:
1/2 a chopped onion
1/2lb potatoes sliced thinly
6oz corn (either frozen or drained from a can)
1 1/2 cups vegetable stock made with 1 stock cube
4 tablespoons milk
Put everything except the milk in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer part-covered for ~30mins until the potatoes are really soft and mushy.
Stir well with a ballon whisk or fork until even consistency.
Add the milk, stir and reheat if needed.
Really good with a crusty bread roll!

Been veggie and cooking for myself since I was twelve.
Steamed veggies with italian dressing is good.
Hey I'm twelve too.(but not vegetarian, my friend is) Try a wrap of like lettuce cheese and whatever else you like! Good Luck and keep up the vegetarian thing!
Eat boca burgers. They are at Ralphs and taste like real burgers but they are soy. No meat.
Bread and butter. Or maybe a vege sandwich. Some mash potatoes, mayonis, pepper , salad leaves and spread them generously on the bread and enjoy your meal.
Pitas, veggie subs, quesdadillas with salsa. i have a friend that's a veggie, and she eats a lot of sandwiches with cheese, onions, and mustard, or rice with veggies.
lasagne is pretty easy. Just take the recipe your mom usually makes, take out the meat, and add extra cheese and/or veggies.
My mom makes this dish that's pretty good: one package of egg noodles, one package of shredded cabbage, butter, salt pepper.
Boil the noodles 'till they're done, drain them. Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of butter, the cabbage, and salt and pepper to taste. (You probably won't need to make quite that much; it feeds about 8 people.)
She also makes this really good dish made with couscous. (A small round pasta) I'm not sure of the exact recipe, but I'd make the couscous according to the package, then add raisins, peas, and cashews, and possibly some butter. That's one of my favorites.
For a quick no cook meal or snack you can pick up some hummus and use it as a dip for rice crackers and veggies.
Tabbouleh is an easy salad to make.
1 cup of bulgar wheat soaked in hot water or broth for about an hour, drain and mix with slices of cucumber, 2 chopped tomatoes, 1 large bunch of chopped fresh parsley, dress with a little olive oil, salt and pepper. You can also serve this over regular salad greens.
You can also check out a local grocery store for mixes for falafels. They're usually quick and tasty.
boca burgers/sausages
pizza
fake corn dogs
veggie patties
fake chicken
they're all delicious!!
GOOD LUCK!!!
you can try omellete, veg. salad, or "pinakbet"-a combination of some available vegies
Do you eat eggs and cheese?
My daughter brings egg salad sandwiches, cheese sandwiches, pasta salad, PB & J
