kids love those little whittled down carrots. you can do a yogurt dip, just mix in some dill, they will love it.
carrots, crackers, celery, peanut butter and jelly, bread and cheese, jello pudding, fruit jello, fruits, fruit cups, apple sauce ...
aww cmon have a little mercy on the young ones
carrot sticks or celery and peanut butter or ranch dressing
How do you know your toddler is a vegetarian?
Fruit snacks and dry cereal
Making your child be a vegitarian should be considered child abuse. Hippies arent fit for parenthood, If you really loved them you would give your kids up for adoption.
one of my favorite sites is vegan lunch box. it's a blog by a mom who makes her child stuff for his lunch box.......she has recipes and really creative ideas and suggestions. read her archives!
oh my WORD i just read some of the other posts.....do ya'll know ANYTHING about science??? ever seen a cow w/tiny muscles and bad bones????? no????? good grief!!! are you aware our magnificent bodies break down the meat proteins into amino acids and then put those back together again into a protein that is better used by our bodies? are you aware you can get those amino acids from loooooots of places, including fruits/veggies/nuts/seeds??? the meat industry and the milk industry do a great job w/all their money brainwashing ppl......wtg ya'll!!!
Young children need the protein in meat in order to grow properly. You being a vegetarian is your choice, but forcing your child to be one isn't fair, especially since children need the susbstances in meat to have a healthy balanced diet.
Punch your kids in the stomach for lunch. Its good for you.
pb&j. celery and peanut butter. carrots and healthy dressings. cheese. an apple. grapes. cheerios.
Stuff I liked when v. small:
A weird thing with a slice of wholegrain bread rolled flat, covered with cheese spread, covered with alfalfa sprouts, rolled jellyroll-style. I used to beg for that somewhat ridiculous-sounding 'treat.' You can take a sharp knife and cut it into little round slices, too.
Apple and cheddar slices.
Dried fruit.
Granola w/yoghourt.
"Peanut butter balls"-type no-bake cookies.
A sliced banana topped with toasted wheat germ and milk.
Cold noodles -- egg, rice vermicelli, soba.
Kappa-maki or rice balls with some carrot sticks and a piece of fruit.
