I know there's this kind called Tofutti that i think is dairy-free. You can buy it at some major chains; I've seen it at Publix in Florida.

Could you try a Stop and Shop? They have a pretty good line of vegan foods. They have ice cream called Toffuiti (sp?) as well as I believe it was called Monkey Bars...which is vegan chocolate over vegan peanut butter :)

Definitely hunt down the So Delicious "frozen dessert"!!!!!!!!! In the part of the world where I'm at folks who try it prefer it over Blue Bell! (You'd have to be from Texas to understand that). BTW, Turtle mountain snuck a name change past us last year and dropped the "Y" in their name. The Tofutti and Rice Dream are also readily available and aren't too shabby. It's not ice cream type stuff but all the wally-worlds carry Philly Swirl Italian ice and those are all vegetarian (but may not be vegan due to the unknown sugar source) and are *really* good.
