Leftover tomato sauce?
I have some leftover tomato based sauce from dinner tonight,What can I have with it tomorrow?I am fed up with pasta,but can't eat potatoes or bread.Any scrummy ideas?

Pizza... make your own crust, buy some from the market or use a nice crusty french bread.
Cheese and fresh veggies, artichokes, olives.

Add some chicken or beef and some kind of veggies you like and make a sort of soup. I don't know if its cold where you are, but here where I am it is cold and all I can think about is going home and eating something warm for dinner.
If nothing else put it in a baggie and lable it and freeze it till later day. Thats what i do for cambell soup to
How about mixing it with rice or lentils? Putting it in soup??
Chicken Parmesan. better homes and gardens has an awesome recipe. Or you could add cumin & chili powder and make enchelada sauce and have mexican rice (if you can have rice?) or any other mexican dish like use it for taco meat.
Use it as a base for soup or stew.
Bake chicken, spread sauce and top with mozzarella or Parmesan cheese.

mix it with fake ground meat and make sloppy joe sandwiches. yum!
As this is in the "vegetarian and vegan" section the suggestions that include meat will not be very welcome. You could try frying some courgettes and other vegetables with oil and some garlic and then adding the sauce.

If it's a relatively plain sauce, add some diced onion and peppers, chili powder, cumin, corn and beans for quick stovetop chili.
If it's been seasoned in a distinctive way (such as an Italian-style pasta sauce), just have it over some steamed veggies and rice, instead of pasta. Or you could use it as a dipping sauce for veggie sticks.
If there's a lot, you could thin it with a little water or veg broth and use it as a soup base.
how about with roast meditteranean vegetables and cous cous or rice. You could also use it as a base for a stew or casserole and add whatever you like.
Alright here is one of my favorite leftover meals.
Get some vegies, I like:
Carrots, Onions, Celery, frozen corn and peas. Fry the Carrots onions and celery in olive oil in a large pan or electric skillet until tender, add the left over tomato sauce and the peas and corn. Stir till hot. You can add pretty much any spice that you enjoy, I typically like basil or parsley. Then salt and pepper to taste.
Pour this over rice or egg noodles.
I have 4 boys so I tend to cook alot, but this is our favourite meal using tomato sauce. The best part is its easy and great for you.
