Has anyone ever heard of "The Wholefood Farmacy"?!

Question:

Has anyone ever heard of "The Wholefood Farmacy"?

I am looking for opinions before I buy anything from them.

Answers:
I spent a couple of hours looking at the website and comparing product claims. My opinion is that this is a decent site selling pretty reasonable products. Most of the information on the site is based in common sense rather than hype. Most of the products offer a healthier option than the foods and products they are meant to replace.

The prices of the products are pretty high even when considering that the products are concentrated. For example, Fruitalicious Plus: $22.50 for a 10 ounce bag of dried fruit. There are many versions of organic dried fruits on the market for far less than the price of this product. I agree that organic dried fruits are a great snack but I have a hard time believing that I have to spend so much to get the benefits of it.

Over all, this site is similar to many other sites that promote health through consumerism. I believe that most of the products can be found at much lower prices and that fancy packaging is not healthy for our wallets or our environment.

Just the environmental costs of shipping 10 ounces of product across the country is a huge turn off for me but that is another story.

When approaching websites like this, do so cautiously and you will be happier, healthier, and richer.
