Congratulations on making this healthy, compassionate choice to be vegetarian, and it seems you're even on your way to becoming vegan! Wow, I admire you for being so brave about your lifestyle choices at such an early age.

I would suggest that you check out AllVeggieLinks.com, which lists websites that sell vegetarian food, and many of these stores are vegan. If you like dining out, you might want to visit VegDining.com for a list of vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the area.

Since the discovery of gasoline, the advent of roads and motorized transportation, finding food that don't have to involve killing another living creature is very easy, and people in Anchorage, Alaska no longer have to hunt to eat.

Good luck in finding good food and a vegetarian roommate!

are you that bored?

i'll just add my two cents about northern climates and vegetarianism. Most northern cultures, Han, Scandinavian, eskimo, eat predominantly meat cause it's obviously diificult to farm there well.
