"what does meat taste like"?!
"what does meat taste like"?
I am a vegetarian and I wanna know what meat tastes like
Answers:
i'm a vegetarian too, have been for about 11 years, but i remember how it tastes..like a dead animal. disgusting.
I'm not quite sure what Heaven is going to be like, but I'm pretty sure it's close. Nothing better than a juicy filet mignon!
I too am vegetarian, but when I was pregnant, they said that I should eat meat in order to stay healthy, so for the baby's sake I started to eat meat, it was nasty! I hate it, I would rather not eat it. If I have to eat it I have to slather it in sauces and stuff so I can not taste it, and I hate the texture so I just do not chew it! When I am not pregnant or forced by a Dr. to eat it, I am happy just being a vegetarian! I hope that this gives you some insight! Good luck!
Eat the bloody stuff and find out
Like Chicken
It really depends on the recipe and also the type of meat, but generally meat tastes delicious!
IT IS AWESOME ONCE YOU GO MEAT YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK COULD SOME ONE PLEASE PASS ME A STEAK
you cant describe it ,the proof is in the pudding
eat some and you will know
it is satisfying and filling and there are thousands of different tastes depending on what kind of meat ,what part of the body, what quality ,and how it is prepared with what spices added and for how long it is cooked
I hear it tastes a lot like chicken.
it depends on the type of meat you are asking. Also, since you don't have any idea of how they taste, then you still wouldn't know it even if I say that they taste a little bit creamy for example. Hmm..Your question sounds really good so I'll try to experiment and identify which vegetables taste like meat. In that case, I'll return back with some answers for you to easily comprehend as I can compare the taste of meats with vegetables and fruits.
If you have not ever tasted a fried pork chop, fried chicken, roast beef or bacon and eggs, then you wont miss it.
I'm not a glutton for meat. I have small portions but meat gives great satisfaction with vegetable. I like to have apple sauce with pork. Cranberries with poultry and Mellon with beef.
You haven't lived until you have shrimp and lobster.
Do vegetarians consider fish to be the same as meat?
I, with out a doubt always have a well balanced meal.
I do love my fruit and vegetables.
If you have not sat down to a Traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, you don't know what your missing.
Is it against your religion to eat meat?
it's yummy and tasty. But for you is wanna test it.the meat.but i am non vegetarian & i like meat.try it now!if you want the taste say yes to meat.if not,say no &continue to eat veggies & being a vegetarian.
i'm not a vegetarian but a rarely eat meat because it doesnt taste that good...
you have to chew it a lot and it can get stuck in ur teeth really easily
and sometimes if steak is cooked to much its soooo chewy that no one can really eat it
and the fat of meat is gross....its like jello
if your gonna eat meat i would suggest turkey=)
Easy. Whichever meat you'd like to know how it taste like, have someone grill the meat till done, then smell it. You'll get about a 90% idea of how it tastes like. Smelling it raw is about 60-%70% accurate I'd say. Better yet, taste them! Unless of course your faith/beliefs strictly forbids you to do so.
i dont know but it makes me feel like a caveman when i eat it
I suppose it tastes something like sauted green mango with chemical additives.
I think Morningstar Farms veggie Breakfast "Sausage" tastes pretty close to the real thing...try that and it's close to what a real pork sausage tastes like, only much better for you than pork.
I've been a vegan for about 10 years...as far as I remember it, most "sausage" tastes pretty close to the vegan versions. There are "chicken" tenders available in the freezer section that taste pretty darn close to real chicken, even my meat eater friends have said so.
The thing I haven't really seen duplicated is steak, but I really didn't like the taste...the smell of steak cooking smells better than it tastes I think...it's always seasoned really well but the meat tastes...well...when I was younger I used to suck on it to get the seasoning off then spit it out. It makes your mouth water, but I think that's because it tastes sort of like you just got punched in the mouth.
I do not know how to explain to people who have not tasted Indian vegetable curries. But there are two curries which taste similar to meat preparation, one is Nutrila[product of soya bean]curry prepared spicy and the other is tender Jack fruit curry made with spicy sauce. Ask any one who has tasted them.
There are different flavors of meat, depending upon the animal used. Spices and different cooking methods and different recipes also come to play. This is like asking what vegetables taste like. So many different kinds, different cooking methods, spices, recipes, etc, so the flavors are all different.
It's hard to describe the flavor of anything when you've never had it. But I will agree, the soy burgers and chikken nuggets taste pretty close to the real thing. Soy sausage does not, I won't lie. But any soy fake meat product will be far less greasy than meat, that's for sure.
I have a Muslim friend who had never tasted pork. One day she was out with her ex b/f and ordered clam chowder. She was eating, and noticed something she'd never tasted before, but hated the flavor of. She pulled it out of her mouth and saw that it was bacon. She thought, yuck! How can people like this?
Would meat taste good to you since you've never had it (I assume)? I don't know, but as someone pointed out, the smell of cooked meat is pretty close to the real thing.
Why do I still see someone asking if your religion forbids meat? People, vegetarianism is more often a lifestyle choice, and not necessarily part of any religion.
Nasty! Bloody and disgusting. It has a nice texture (if you're not thinking about what it is) but it tastes like the blood and poop that are indeed in the package. It tastes a whole lot worse than it smells, and I personally can't bear the smell of meat.
Red meat is bloody and fleshy tasting.
/At least it is when it's cooked properly
//Nothing ruins a steak like serving it well done
///Everything else tastes like chicken.
Er. Kids. Don't thumbs-down the honest answers. Yeah, "ooh, like heaven" -- sure, that's not a useful answer. But stuff like "filling" is an honest attempt to answer the question.
Yikes. If the smell, as pointed out here, is accurate -- I'm not making any mistakes by not eating it. Not a fan. No offence to the people who like it.
Anyway:
Somebody once compared chicken to "butter-flavoured pineapple" when trying to describe it to me apropos of the same question. That got "huh?" from some other chicken fans, but, based on what I can gauge of the texture, it's not a _ridiculous_ description. Stringy-creamy-mild-chewy- salty was what I got out of that.
I once accidentally bit into a chicken fajita (stupid, stupid Taco Bell...) and didn't get to taste it, but did get to bite in a bit. It was, well, freaky. "Like biting in to my own arm" was what I said at the time. Really, the texture was comparable to -- well, there's no mistaking that it's animal. Similarly, knifing a steak, it's obvious that you're cutting in to flesh.
The only way you are really gonna know is to try.
Just like chicken!
If it's seasoned it tastes like the seasoning. If it's not, you don't even want to know!! You are not missing anything believe me!
Greasy, bloody and nasty. You can see
poop and veins in chicken and fish parts.
I'd never go back to it.
