Do meat eaters not realize how shallow they sound when they bash vegetarians?!
Do meat eaters not realize how shallow they sound when they bash vegetarians?
I made an INFORMED decision to give up meat. Most meat eaters have eaten it their entire lives, and so just accept it as normal. I doubt if any of them researched eating meat as much as I researched becoming a veggie, then they would make an INFORMED choice-instead, its really just following the masses of the rest of the uninformed, dont you think? And for all you veggie bashers, go ahead, fire away-you are always good for a laugh. I KNOW why I eat the way I do, do YOU?
Answers:
No and they don't realise how stupid they sound either!
Top 5 Meat-eater excuses.
1) If God didn't want us to eat animals why did he make them out of meat ?
2) It is our nature .
3)Vegetables are alive too.
4) We need meat for protien blah, blah, blah
5) The Bible says that week can eat meat.
You have a lot of anger issues to work out and stop looking for a fight.
And yes I make the choice to eat meat because I like the way it tastes and no I don't have a problem with it.
I am a meat eater, as much as I don't want to be, I just love a good steak. I admire vegetarians for their will power, especially the ones that have tasted meat and can give it up. I do believe in animals not being killed, unless it's for food, but even then, when one hears about the cruelty in these slaughter houses, it deters me from eating meat only for a few days. Sorry, I am weak :-(
Meat is the tatiest way to gain protein. And besides, if you're so worried about living things, fish and plants are living things too.
What do you want?

Just look at your teeth...humans are omnivores..get over it!
That's good that you have given up meat. I guess that means there is more for me. You really have held yourself up ahead of the crowd as being so much smarter than everyone else, based on your ONE decision. Is it possible to be informed yet eat meat anyways? You make it sound as if only uninformed people eat meat and that is no doubt a fallacy. That would be like saying that only uninformed people smoke. You know they know what smoking's doing to them, they choose to do so anyways.
I love cows. They're stupid and delicious. MOOOOO! Yummy cows! MOOOOO! Yummy cows! MOOOOO! Yummy cows! MOOOOO! Yummy cows! MOOOOO! Yummy cows! MOOOOO! Yummy cows!
I would like to say that yea I eat meat. Its my choice. You made yours. People will always have their opinion on things thats how this world works you just have to live with it. Im not being negetive but...For you to have such anger towards the opinions of others makes you no different from the
"Veggie Bashers" Just My opinion. I know this wont be the best answer lol!
well first of all humans are made to be omnivores. our stomachs are made for digesting plant and animal matter. so us meat eaters don't have to research being meat eaters because our bodies are made for eating meat so go get a veggie burger or something and maybe you should take a chill pill
Good on you for making an informed decision and for giving up meat.
Many people become vegetarians without finding out how to eat properly and get all the necessary vitamins in their diet.
Did you really expect meat eaters to give an answer which made sense LOL....
There are several types of organisms. Some are herbivorous, some are carnivorous, and some are omnivorous.
Iguanas, deer, squirrel, and other herbivorous animals have a longer small intestine as well as a symbiotic relationship with bacteria, as well as functional organs that aid in the digestion of cellulose and more complete digestion of plant proteins. Intake of animal proteins would cause kidney disfunction and possible organ failure.
Wolves, snakes, wolverines, and other carnivorous animals have a shorter small intestine and larger stomach. This allows for digestion on animal proteins and other nutrients from the animal matter that are eaten. Eating plant matter would cause lack of digestion, intestinal blockage, and lack of bowel control which can lead to dehydration.
HUMANS, bears, pigs, and other OMNIVOROUS organisms must intake both plant and animal matter to properly digest grow and develop. The organs are developed to digest the essential from both plant and animal matter. Failure to eat any part of a balanced diet can lead to many differing negative affects to development and continued function of an organism.
Not eating meat eliminates animal protein from the human body, animal proteins allow us to build muscle, establish proper muscle control, and lack of proper proteins can make people sterile.
The most common argument from long time vegetarians is that they have lost the ability handle meats, therefore their body is telling them that these are not necessary.
If you would like a logical comparison, train to run a marathon, once you can complete it comfortably sit down and put a hard cast on both of your legs, don't take it off for one year, and then after that year, try to run another marathon. Not only will you not complete it, you will probably be in such excruciating pain that you will never want to walk again. I am not a messenger from God but I am sure that this is not a message that you should never walk gain.
Another argument is that we do not have the proper tooth structure a carnivore has large canine teeth used for ripping meat, however what most fail to understand is that vegetarians have very broad flat teeth that are used to pulverize plant matter so that it is properly digested. Our jaw structure is somewhere in the middle, and is much closer to a wolf than a deer, and is even more like a bear. Row of tearing teeth followed by mildly sharpened molars that are used for tearing and grinding, they are not flat for pulverizing.
We also lack a symbiotic relationship with cellulose digesting bacteria and the active organs to digest cellulose on our own.
The concession most vegetarians make after doing the PROPER research is to eat fish to make up animal protein however that makes for a strong chance to have mercury poisoning. As a result of the increasing mercury concentrations in the worlds marine and aquatic systems.
The fact of the matter is people MUST eat both meat and vegetables, if not they are only hurting themselves. I did my homework because I wanted to be a vegetarian at one point and tried it for a while. I am a science major, and know how the digestive and developmental systems work, and with that understanding feel that those that choose to eat only vegetables or only meat should make that decision on their own but should be well informed of the consequences. I am not looking for an argument, and no one else should be, people need to be educated before making life altering decisions.
So to answer your question I DO KNOW why I eat meat, and I DO KNOW why you should also, however I feel that your life choices are yours to make, you should just be aware of all of the consequences.
I don't eat meat either i've been a vegetarian for about 4 months now and know how that is it's so anoying when big time meat eaters nag on me for not eating the way they do and talk about how weak i'm gonna get for not getting enough protein and stuff.. w.e
Not only shallow, but stupid and ignorant. Most of them know nothing about nutrition.
Do you vegitarians not realize how annoying you are when you're asking questions like this ?
Basically, you're asking to be bashed.
STFU.
I eat meat and actually, according to my holistic nutritionist my body is made to eat meat since I am an O blood-type. I have never bashed anyone for their choices in what they eat. I don't think most people do. Maybe you're a little sensitive to the subject. Instead of getting angry with people who don't understand vegetarianism, you could see if they had any questions that would help them learn.
well does anyone realize how shallow they sound when they insult anyone?? Its immature and a common trate among most people as they never learn to respect others.
On that note vegetarians sound just as shallow when they bash meat eaters. We all have our own opinions, we don't have to like each other but we should respect each other.
Personally I don't eat meat, my opinion of people who eat meat is that they are selfish. Especially the reason "I do it because it tastes good". I don't think I have heard one reason to eat meat that isn't selfish. But there is lots of things I dont like, I cant understand why someone would like rap music either. And selfishness is one of the most basic human trates from early childhood, should we judge someone because they are like the majority of humans and cannot seem to move past this human instinct if you will, to whats supposed to actually set humans apart form other species, compassion.
If you don't like them my best suggestion is just don't talk to them about the issue or if it REALLY bothers you, do not make close friends with those kind of people just as you would not be close friends with other issues which play a part in who you socialize with.
And try and rememebr, just as you don't like somone to push their religions belifes or meat eatting choice onto you they feel the same so do not bring yourself down to that level.
Do vegetarians not realize how shallow theyo sound when they bash us meat eaters? I don't have anything against vegetarians, but when they keep on ragging on us for eating meat, it gets really old. Sure, an animal is killed for the meat, but it's gonna die, someday.
I am a vegetarian. The truth is God gave us sharp teeth to eat meat, this wouldn't be so bad if we didn't kill animals in such large numbers. If we had to hunt for food and only the strongest survived you would have to eat whatever you could get. Sometimes I wish we weren't a thinking species.
P,S. I hate it when vegetarians bother meat eaters, because they are making a personal choice too. Meat is supposed to be eaten by humans
I think it's silly when either side bashes the other one. Each person's diet is his or her own choice, and nobody should be be made to feel bad about what they choose to eat, IMHO.
I'm responsible for myself -- no one else. And I don't feel as if I have the right to bash someone else for their choice, either.
Rock on girl! I am so happy to find a desent soul here!
Are you a vegan to??
veggie heads (yea thats what I call us vegetarian) rule!
