Can raw foodists drink alcohol?!

Question:

Can raw foodists drink alcohol?

i want to become a raw foodist and am trying to find out as much as i can about it

Answers:
You can but alcohol drinking should really be abolished. too many deaths occur from alcohol drunks driving vehicles.

Geesh, if you want to drink...drink! Why do you feel the need to "label" yourself.....Alcohol comes from grains....but processed obviously...

You should, your life will be boring enough as a Vegan!

Ugh, I do not understand why anyone would want to eat nothing but raw food. Sure there are health benefits, but to me it seems to be the food equivalent of nothing but missionary-position sex for the rest of your life.

That being said, most alcohol is made from grains that have been cooked and fermented. So if you are a very strict raw foodist, I would say that it is out. However, unless you are doing this for religious or hardline philosophical reasons, I would say you can adjust your diet to anything you really want to eat (my sister is a strict vegetarian . . . . until I cook a beef tenderloin).

Hope this helps

Don't worry, you can still get drunk being a raw foodist. Wine, for example (correct me if I'm wrong) is not cooked but kept in barrels to age and becomes alcoholic naturally without heat. Other types of alcoholic beverages such as beer are usually distilled, a quicker process, which requires heat.
