I don't eat a lot of red meat but I do eat a lot of chicken.
If you went to a health food store to replace some of the vitamins and minerals that you miss by not eatting a lot of the foods out there don't you think that in those supplements there are traces of stuff you wouldn't eat/drink?

Actually I think that cannibalism should be back in style. Survival of the fittest. If I'm pissed at ya and hungry at the same time, I could just hunt ya down, cook ya up and have you with a little Chianti and fava beans. ~

i know that meat is one of my favorite things.. but i am trying to get in swing with the whole veggie thing..mainly because i hear that they put so much stuff in meat now a days that .. and that could be what causing all our health promblems.. yes it is hard and i do it maybe 3 times a week and then it back to attacking a burger.. and i like the tofo burgers.. and morning star chicken
Meat-eaters are missing out on a lot of tasty foods, not me. Its good for your health, your environment, and of course the animals. There are plenty of reasons to become a vegan.
The ONLY nutrient that can not be obtained naturally from vegetable sources is vitamin B-12, and that is because it is provided by a bacteria that grows on meat and dairy products. Luckily it is easy to get a 100% vegan multivitamin that provides PLENTY of lab-grown B-12. I take one every day, and I am healthier (and happier) than any meat-eater I know.
I never really truly enjoyed cooking or eating until I chose a compassionate lifestyle. Imagine: delicious food that is TRULY guilt free!
I grew up eating meat and liked all the normal stuff, but there are so many high-quality soy 'meats' that you wouldn't miss it much. Burgers, chicken cutlets, chicken nuggets, streak strips, hot dogs, corn dogs, meatballs, bacon - all soy-based and cruelty-free. Morningstar Farm and Amy's Kitchen are good brands.
The truth is, your tastes change over time. I can honestly sat that becoming vegan was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I have never eaten so well in my life!
