Answers:
Its really not hard once you learn how to read labels.

Here is a gigantic list of things that are safe to eat (no animal products):

as long as you only eat fruits and veggies, and nuts, you will be fine.

In response to the person above me,

Vegetarians do NOT eat only fruits, vegetables, and nuts!

OK, well for starters, don't eat meat but my friend is a vegetarian and she eats fish so i guess that's OK. Eat lots of fruits, veggies and eggs or fish to make up for the protein that you are missing out of your diet.

Just read the ingredients. Some things to look out for are gelatin (boiled tissue), rennet (enzymes from calve stomaches), glycerin (from animal fat if not specifically labeled other-wise), shellac, lac, or cochineal (they're all the same thing; crushed female cochineal insects [ugh!]), and stearic acid (also from animal fat). This is just a small list, just google it, I'm sure you'll find several lists.

This link is my favorite Vegan link and it explain it all!!! http://www.vegan.org
