Why r u proud to be a Vegeterian/Vegan?
I have been a vegeterian since I was 7 (but don't think I'm going to become a vegan. I don't like eggs but I like milk and cheese.) Anyways, I want to know if you like being a vegeterian/vegan. I was kind of forced to be one. What I mean is that my parents they were vegeterian for like about 40 years are something and when there is no meat in the house, your kind of forced to eat something else. For my early years I just had turkey and chicken but I didn't really like it. So I became I vegeterian. And I'm happy really happy. I can tell you that being a vegeterian is one of the best choices I've made in my life.(maybe the only one)lol

I LOVE BEING A VEGETARIAN!!!
just the thought of knowing that.. ME.... i am atleast helping to save the most beautiful things to me!! im happy that im not one of the people who support animal cruelty by eating the same animals who are put into it uknow.... they dont ask for it!!! most of those animals dont get to even have a normal life because their life isnt long enough!
i have made over 9,500 people vegetarians from my speeches and that is the best blessing to me knowing that each day people come up to me and ask me about being a vegetarian and from my words and from the love i have of being a vegetarian (they tell me) i make those people vegetarians!

Be a hero, save thousands of lives, adopt a vegan lifestyle.
(By not eating animals, fewer are killed.)
I am proud because it makes me feel like a better person over all, despites my favorite band being all vegan, I atlast are only vegetarian..but they are my inspiration to be vegetarian. <3
I enjoy being a vegetarian because when I see meat, I'm reminded of human flesh.
I don't drink milk or eat eggs, but eat foods with it in it. I'm planning on becoming vegan when I get older and move out.
I personally am not a vegetarian. I tried to become one a few months ago because of a video I saw abot how they abuse animals but growing up eating meat all my life it was kind of hard. So currently I am not a vegetarian. I want to be though. Anyways as long as your happy being a vegetarian you dont have to become a vegan. That would be going to far.
I've been vegetarian all my life my parents are not but I don't know why I hated meat since I was a baby. I'm very proud of me because I love animals and my beliefs match with my eating habits. I'm trying to become vegan but I love candies, cakes, pizzas, ice cream and CHOCOLATE and I've failed and all my at temps =___(
I'm not so much proud to be a vegetarian as I am thankful. Being able to choose not to eat things is such a luxury and I am very thankful for that luxury. There are so many people in this world who are starving to death and so many people in this country who don't care as long as McDonald's is open.
I am proud to be vegeterian with two reasons: one, I want to lose weight, eating more vegetable to reduce fat; two, I try not to eat meat as much a possible. I have a problem though, during a week, I can eat all vegetable and fruits but on the weekend I attempted to meat again. I try to get rid of this bad habit. Although those obtacles, I still love to be vegeterian.
Eating fruit, salad, and vegetables make my body for more healthier. I don't get depressed that much. I feel more happy and delighted.
I am proud to be vegan because I knowI'm doing everything I can to reduce my contribution to animal suffering.
Just a note: Most vegans don't stop eating dairy and eggs because they 'don't like them'. Most vegans probably were just as crazy about cheese etc. as the rest of America at some point. Speaking for myself, I was always a ravenous cheese fan, and loved eggs too. It's the ABUSIVE TREATMENT that those animals endure that moves us to change. We simply realized that we don't want to give our money to companies that abuse animals on our behalf. Later on, the smell of cheese becomes distasteful and the whole idea of dairy is just too weird.
It's the same way many vegetarians are actually people who LOVE meat but refuse to support the inhumane practices of factory farms in this country.
Remember - we liked cheese just as much as you do. We just realized we had no choice but to put conscience and compassion before our taste buds.
I'm proud to be a vegetarian because I've loved animals my whole life and I think this is one of the best ways of showing just how much you care for other living beings (excluding humans obviously). I also know that I'm not supporting animals being killed for our consumption.
I was a veggie for 6 years and my health suffered badly because of it. I don't think I was getting enough protien and unfortunately I don't like beans and tofu or other foods high in protein so it was difficult for me. I also occasionaly had bad reacations to soy. My doctor was worried about how much weight I gained after becoming a veggie due to my drop in protein but increase in bad carbs. The headaches, leg cramps, dizziness was terrible. There are times I feel bad about eating meat/chicken but it is the only diet mixed with good carbs that keeps my weight down.
If you look at the history of the hunter gatherers we have been eating meat and fish for ages. My brother-in- law has a funny saying when he sees veggies or salad, "That isn't food, that is what FOOD eats!" Terrible sense of humor he has! Good on all of you for being able to live this lifestye. I really admire you.
I am a new vegetarian by choice in an area that is all about mass quantities of meat. So I take a lot of ignorance.
I do it for my health, for the people who could be eating food if we used more land to grow crops that PEOPLE eat instead of mega farming, and for the earth (environment and animals).
I love being a Vegeterian! It totally changed my life, and I am really proud of myself. I am the only vegeterian in my family and I love it!
because the world could use a little less cruelty, violence, pollution, and waste
yea me too, being vegeterian is great, i'm having a ball
I am 22 and have been a vegetarian for eight months or so.
My attitude is, "If you can kill it, you can eat it." If I become stranded on in the outback or something and eating a wombat is the only way to live, I will. But in the meantime, there are plenty bananas, spinach, etc. around to eat. And nothing has to loose a head.
I just cannot stand vegetarians who look down on those who pick a different lifestyle. Their arrogance annoys me. Just as those who give me nonesense for not eating meat do.
they are proud becasue of what they eat. healty food. healthy lifestyle. etc. etc.
I am proud that nobody has to die for my dinner.
I feel more in harmony with nature
and feel blessed to have my hands
washed of bloody eating habits.
I am proud to be a veggie cause nothing bled, died, screamed, or was kept in deplorable conditions for me to eat. My lovely veggies proudly reproduced themselves unaided by anyone but God. I can pick a cucumber off of my vine, and the next day there will be two more in its place. My body doesnt have to work to digest muscle that is similar to its own. And, I am not contributing to animal cruelty and runnoff pollution from animal waste products. I AM PROUD TO BE A VEG HEAD, and thank you for making me realize that! good on you!
To Mrs. Davey Havok: Sorry to burst your bubble but only two of the members of AFI are Vegan (Hunter and Davey) Jade and Adam are Vegetarian.
As for why I'm proud to be Vegan, because I'm living my morals everyday. Veganism is living abolition, and I believe in the abolition of animal ownership.

im a born vegetarian and i tryed meat once just to see what it was like, it tasted just like fake meat. lol. so i decided that would be vegetarian for life. im proud of myself because i know how much good im doing for animals and for my health.
i'm proud because i know that i am doing the right thing by not giving my money to cruel animal slaughterhouses. it makes me angry when people say something like "oh well i don't like animal cruelty, i'm against it" and then go off to mcdonalds or burger king or some other fast food place. that just shows how little they really care about animals and how selfish they are that they refuse to change their eating habits unless it directly affects them. i am proud of myself for sticking to my morals no matter how much people make fun of me for being a vegetarian. meat is ANIMAL FLESH, and it disgusts me to see people fattening themselves up with it every day.
