Do you ever wish your parents raised you vegetarian?

I think Jordie hit the nail right on the head. Although I think there would be many advantages to being raised as a vegetarian from birth - personally, i prefer the notion that I made a choice to choose this lifestyle - it wasn't something forced upon me. That helps to strengthen my conviction that being a vegetarian is something that i believe is right (for me) and not something i'm simply following because that is what I was told to do.
Nope... it's not right! (Nor is it normal!).
No. Because when I was growing up nobody was a vegetarian. But, you can make a choice to be one, because it's actually better for you.
i think that parents cant raise u a vegetarian or not i think the kid decides for himself early on if he likes the idea of eating an animal or not ANDDD most kids will ask u what exactly is that and where did it come from. I refused to eat fish and seafood i never tried it and i never will! hahahaha
If I was born a vegetarian nobody would've realized how strong and self-disciplined I had to be for becoming one. I actually get compliments on how much will-power I have since I became a vegetarian at 13 and it's been 4 years now.
Although I sometimes do feel bad for having ever eaten meat at all but up until age 12 I was force to eat meat (by my Father). At ten I wasn't sure it would make a difference. At 12 I moved in with Mom. 6 months later my cat died. That made me feel REALLY guilty for eating meat. At 13 finally made the move from omnivore to vegetarian. And I feel healthier and cleaner inside ;-)
For sure. But it's never too late to change.
Mine did. It was a pain in the butt. My friends at school always teased me about my weird lunches. Later when I began to travel it was harder and harder to find food without meat. I am used to it now and know how to get around it- but i dont know how great it is for little kids--maybe now that it is more accepted?
yes...but i still love my meat and fish
YESSSSS....chances are i wouldnt have had skin problems when i was only in 4th grade. and other chances are that i would be a little slimmer-----in some cases.
I wish my parents were vegetarians...

But really I don't want to be a hippy b@#$%
no
No I did not want my parents to raise me to become a vegetarian (but I am anyways) because if I didnt do it by myself I would have never learned what they do to the cows and chickens before turned into meat because I became vegetarin by looking at all the disgusting pictures and stuff on myspace pages about how they make meat and my parents would have just said "meat is unhealthy" or something and I would probably not stick to being vegetarian that way. So I hade to learn myself to make it stick in my brain.
yeah i would have been a lot skinner than i am now =(
