Vegan Menu Ideas?!
Vegan Menu Ideas?
Help! An old friend from childhood is coming into town for a visit. I invited her and her husband for a dinner party but they're VEGAN! I just learned this yesterday and I have until Saturday to come up with a vegan dinner. Any ideas for apps, entrees, and dessert?

Don't kill yourself trying to make everyone happy. They are the ones imposing on you (I am a vegan, and I have been at many a party where the only thing I munch on is the veg plate and nuts.)
Well my brother-in-law is vegan and all he ever eats are soy, salads, rice, hummus, beans, tortillas, he loves Mediterranean food, pastas, make sure there aren't any egg, whey, cream of, or any thing that you may think comes from an animal. He also eats soy burgers but be sure to read the ingredients. Hope this helps a bit. Good Luck!
Try vegweb.com it has some great vegan recipes.
I think this website will help you. There are many options. It is up to you to see which one you like the best.

Do a simple veggie stir fry with peppers, onions, and tofu. Add other veggies if you wish. You can spice it up with some cumin and cayenne peppers. Cook it with some quality basmati rice.
My boyfriend's dad is a vegan... Everytime we visit we only eat Vegan food... They always prepare PESTO with Linguinni noodles and also they prepare spaghetti sauce so there's two different sauces... I usually mix it on my plate and I love it... They also prepare FRIED TOFU and we dipped it in sweet and sour sauce... I love that too and I don't like TOFU at all.... The last time we visited we had coconut curry with sticky rice... It was delicious and also vegetarian spring rolls... Also.. don't forget to serve the salad... I think balsamic vinegrate has no animal products in it... I'm not sure though.. you have to check on that.. We usually use ranch.. but we live in Hawaii, it's a very diverse state... you'll find a lot of Vegan and vegetarian restaurant.. hope I was a help.
Sometimes they would order food from a THAI restaurant that usually serve vegetarian food and also vegan..
