Does eating too much broccoli gives you gas?!

Question:

Does eating too much broccoli gives you gas?

Answers:
Many vegetables can give you gas. You produce a lot more methane when you digest vegetables.

Lotsa sulfur. Yep.

It definetly could.

Not only does it give you gas, but the sulfur content of broccoli makes it a smellier gas. I don't eat the stuff myself.

Yes any vegetation will give you gas. Try Beano.

Yes, it does. In fact, I have had such horrible gas pains after eating broccoli that I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital! I love the stuff though. I just try to really limit it. Someone told me to put 1/2 tsp of baking soda in the water when I cook it. Haven't tried that yet.

yes it can, even if you eat it in small portions it can give you gas.

Yes! So do beans.

Do the Beano thing....it's a small price to pay for the benefits of broccoli. I myself have inflammation problems and drink a broccoli brew just about every morning and eat the broccoli during lunch. Beano saves me.

Yep, sure does.

yea it's good, it's good to fart
pfffffffffffffffffffff

I love broccoli and I used to get really gassy after eating broccoli. I only ate it every now and then.
Now, I eat it almost every day and I have no problem with it. I think my body's used to it.

Raw? No.
Slightly cooked? Possibly.
Highly cooked? LIkely.
Mixed with something like fruit? More likely.
