Is is okay for vegetarians to eat eggs? What about animal crackers?
I was just wondering because my girlfriend said I can but I'm not sure. And the animal cracker question I just want to know people's opinion.
Answers:
Some vegetarians will eat eggs (ovo or ovo-lacto vegetarians)
Vegans will not eat eggs.
As for animal crackers: Yes, vegans eat them but:
We cover our eyes so we don't hear their screams as we bite off their heads.
Yes, vegetarians can eat eggs. Vegans can't eat eggs. Can they eat animal crackers..hahaha thats cute.
definately not the animal crackers...that is just plain wrong.....lol
eggs matters on how strict of a vegetarian they are. and animal crackers are good for everyone.
I am also a vegetarian and I eat eggs. I know so many vegetarians that eat eggs. Eggs are not classified as meat as far as I know but I don't eat animal crackers.
you can eat eggs, because they are not meat. animals crackers, of course, they're not made of real animals.
No issue...unless you're allergic to eggs. And the type of Vegan you claim to be. If anyone wants to contest your vegetarianism...they're the ones you'll want to consider if they're someone you trust and want to divulge your secret.
Animal crackers are great! And bonus...no fur from the critters is mixed into the cookie, unless yo'ure really really lucky :)
Lacto-Ovo Vegetarians can eat eggs.
See attached for explanations of the differents tyes of vegetarianism.
Hee Hee - animal crackers - if they make you happy and are within your veggie boundaries - go for it.

there are actually many different types of vegetarians.
lacto-ovo vegetaqrians do eat dairy products and eggs
lacto vegetarians use dairy but not eggs
vegans wont use dairy or eggs
some vegetarians also wont use products containing gelatine (from animal bones) even tho i turned veggie when i was 13, i chose not to worry about gelatine, deciding that i had better things to do than stress over something that is contained in many otherwise 'veggie' food items eg ice cream, yoghurt
how strict you are as a veggie is up to you, or your religion or whatever reasoning you have for being veggie,
so if you want to eat eggs, do so, if not don't. there are egg substitutes for baking - but it doesnt work in pancakes - least not the recipes i tried. eggs are used in a lot of other food products eg chocolate cake, or as a glaze on pastries and it can be troublesome to be on the look out for eggs and consider every ingredient in processed or premade foods
it really is your choice
as for the animal crackers....would you eat a gingerbread man??
It depends on how strict of a vegeterian you wnat to be. Some strictly do not eat meat products while others do not eat any animal products which includes things like milk, eggs, butter, any dairy products really. Those are vegeterians that are almost strictly veggie and fruit eaters only. So it is completely up to you!
And yes you can eat animal crackers. Haha!
Can we talk with your girl friend? I'm guessing she can do a lot better!
Well sure vegetarians can eat animal crackers but egg is the child of the hen so I would consider that as meat.
