Any advice for a backslidden veggo?!

Question:

Any advice for a backslidden veggo?

was a vegetarian for 3 years, but moved to a new town with no health food shop, and VERY limited grocery store.
have since moved back to the city, but havent had vegetarian food for ages. have been eating a little meet (to avoid starvation, which was the alternative).
anyone have any really yummy recipes for some vegetarian detox diets to get all the meat toxins out of my system, and to get back into healthy eating?
give me all youve got.
welcome back a brother

Answers:
Well, if you really wanted to detox, apparently getting a juicer and having a 2-3 day vegetable juice diet is supposed to do it.

:)

But if you are talking food, I think http://fatfreevegan.com is a good way to do it. If you are into fake-meat foods, http://allrecipes.com has a lot of cool stuff like Faken (fake bacon) and Barbecue *wings* etc.

Cool cookbooks are:
Vegan with a vengeance and Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. You can find them on http://amazon.com .

Good luck and welcome back.

Welcome back, my dear. I have been trying to be more creative lately by adding vegetarian ethnic cuisine into my diet. I recently made el salvadoran pupusas (tortilla stuffed with beans and cheese (I added some diced veggies too) eaten like a hamburger) I also like a burger made from a grilled portabello mushroom, and I add all the traditional toppings. Try the ethnic section on here for ideas and recipes. I have also been playing around with making refrigerator pickles-super easy and very tasty. Good luck...glad you are back on the wagon, lol

Try this recipe for spinach-cheese taquitos

5 corn tortillas
5 eggs
1/4 c. butter
Salt to taste
1 can (4 oz.) tomatoes and green
chilies

Tear tortillas into bite size bits. Melt butter in skillet and drop in tortilla bits. Stir, being sure to coat all bits with butter, and let them self fry. Whip eggs in a small bowl and pour over tortilla bits, stirring to scramble. Add salt to taste. In blender, blend tomatoes and green chilies until smooth; serve over migas. This is optional.

If the grocery store has whole grain bread, pasta, rice, fresh and frozen veggies, nuts, beans and fruit then you would be all set.

10 day juice diet, first 3 day no juice, water only,
then 7 days of juice and water.
er do the enema thing too
