Rice Dream alternatives?!

Question:

Rice Dream alternatives?

I am allergic to soy milk (even though I used to be able to drink it like a champ), and I sometimes find Rice Dream to be too sweet. I saw Almond Breeze now comes unsweetened. Has anyone tried the unsweetened Almond Breeze flavors or have any ideas for some other milk alternatives that aren’t too sweet?

I tried the almond breeze and found it unflavourful.
Have you tried the unsweetened Rice Dream?

I love Almond Breeze. I'm lactose and soy intolerant and the Almond Breeze has been wonderful. It's not sweet like rice milk, though you can get vanilla, which by the way is really really good. It has a really good texture and no aftertaste like with soy. Good Luck! I would totally recommend it!

Never heard of Almond Breeze, I'll have to check it out. I can't drink regular milk (lactose) and sometimes the lactose-reduced milk is more expensive than the alternatives (soy, rice, goat etc.). I usually get 8th Continent because it doesn't taste like paper and doesn't go bad as fast.

I make homemade rice milk. I like it because I can adjust the sweetness and flavor. I have a soyquick machine, and I often combine rice, almonds, and sesame for a rich, yummy milk. There are ways to do it without a machine. Google "homemade rice milk" I, too am allergic to soy. Many people are developing allergies to soy due to the constant genetic modifying of it. 90 percent of soy produced in the US and UK is now so modified it cannot be traced back to its natural state, and contains everything from pesticide (google roundup ready soy), corn, wheat, and even scorpion venom (to make it resistant to pests) Many people who are allergic to soy also develop other allergies to things like wheat and corn, from consuming genetically modified foods. In my case, I developed wheat, soy, eggs, dairy, peanut and barley allergies. Its sad what is being done to our food supply

edit: I assume you are lactose intollerant, as am I. I found I can tolerate RAW milk and dairy perfectly fine

I'm just play not so fond of all the sugar they put in any beverage. So I got a soy milk maker. Soya Joy by Salinex. I make my own soy milk, rice milk, almond milk, barley milk.

yadda yadda.
