Foxhunting guys and gals, and vegans and vegetarians?!
Foxhunting guys and gals, and vegans and vegetarians?
Does anyone think that guys and gals who hunt foxes shouldn't ask questions about vegans and vegetarians and their choice of food? They obviously have no inkling of the meaning of veganism/vegetarianism if they slaughter foxes, and probably other animals, so are they best-placed to question such lifestyles?

Foxhunting guys and gals in general, not any specific ones. Crikey, I'd hate to be accused of being paranoid and harassing someone for their life choices.

Foxes have to eat. They don't know that farm animals belong to anyone. Maybe taking better care of lambs would keep them safer?

I do live in the country, I do know what foxes do, and I also know a farmer who actively protects the foxes living on his land. They're not all bad y'know.

F**K um. Who cares what they have to say anyways?

That goes on in all the other forums also though. So dont feel like the lone ranger.
foxhunter guy is an obsessed vegan wannabee, who posts ridiculous things about being attacked by the many vegans in his town. He is a total bonehead, obviously obsessed with this topic. And I agree, with a name like that, its obvious he is just trying to rile up the veggies
i hunt fox hunters,
oh, and carrotts, potatoes, broccoli, sweetcorn and vegatable curry,
and politicians and fat cats can sod off too,
xxx
Winding other people up is the most pathetic form of attention seeking.
Come to the countryside my dear; see you're week-old lambs have their legs torn off by a fox, see you're chickens slaughtered and left. I kill foxes because I want to protect my animals, and what's that about veggies? Who are you picking on here? Get a little life experiance love.
Anybody who has ridden to the hounds knows that we only HUNT the fox we don't kill it. My goodness! Then we all go to the host's house for high tea.
Well, at least one foxhunting sort who visits this forum on a regular basis is my personal version of "Whack a Mole." He pops his little head up long enough to complain about what all those gagillion evil vegetarians and vegans have done to him in the town* where he lives.
* (I think he must live in Lake Veganville, given that everyone in his family or that he knows or meets is a vegetarian.)
That, or he presents us with some quasi-scientific study that just "flabbergasted" him. Usually, it's of the "Y'all gonna die of B97.3 vitamin deficiency" study done by Dr. Harold Hickenlooper, DMV.
And before he can duck down into the bunker again, I whack 'im a good one over the head with the trusty old five pound sledge hammer of satire.
As far as his alleged fox-hunting activities are concerned, I wouldn't worry about that. If he's as good a fox hunter as he is a researcher and creative writer, the only foxes he's ever killed are the ones who've died laughing.
I understand what you want to say, but foxhunter is just an ID. Not all IDs people choose are meant in a serious way. So, its not the name, but what people ask and why, and what they intend with their question. Someone with the ID "carrotmunch" for example would annoy me as much if he/she popped up asking things like "do you know that vegetarians/vegans are twisted terrorists?". ;)
I agree.
The only people who hunt foxes are farmers and friends of farmers who are too cheap/stupid to buy decent houses for their poultry and to keep lambs inside barns for the first 2 weeks (when that age they are too strong for a fox).
They certainly have nothing in common with vegetarians or vegans.
My own dogs are trained to hunt fox-hunters lol.
are you best placed to question their lifestyles. i used to live in the country and do not believe in foxhunting and i'm also a veggie.as i said are you best placed to question their lifestyles.
