Do you think its bad to be a vegitarian?!
Do you think its bad to be a vegitarian?
NOT EATING MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Answers:
Being a vegetarian has a lot of benefits that I could go on all day about, but since you only asked for five, here are the top five...
1. Animal cruelty- In factory farms animals are abused in horrendous ways, you can learn more at the PETA website.
2. Health- As a vegetarian you're less likely to suffer from diseases like cancer and heart disease. Plus you'll live up to 10 years longer.
3. The environment- Rainforests are being cut down to raise animals for meat. The less meat we eat, the less rainforest is used to raise animals.
4. World hunger- If people stopped eating meat, the animals wouldn't require so many grains. Did you know as much as 90% of grains are used to fatten animals up? World hunger in parts of the world would be solved if we all gave up meat.
5. Meat is gross- Think about it: when you eat meat you are eating a dead animals body. To think that it had a life and a personality, and just what it had been through makes me sick. Not to mention, diseases are found in most meat. 96% of chicken has a small amount of E. Coli in it, and where do you think Mad Cow originated?
no, whats wrong with not eating meat? but its up to the person and what they want to eat, after all, we cant control it
no its actually better for u
No not at all, as a matter of fact not eating meat helps lower the risk of heart disease. You should out peta.com
It's not bad at all. If you turn into a vegetarian you have to make sure that you substitute animal proteins, fats, or whatever with vegetable ones so you can have a balanced vegetarian diet.
No I know lots of healthy vegetarians who only eat cheese and dairy products nuts, legumes and tons of vegetables. There are over a million combinations with vegetables, beans, peas, wheat, dairy products and spices. And recipes all over the world. There are 100s of health benifits not to mention saving the lives of animals.
I think its wonderful!!! meat is not really good for you anyway!
of course not everyone should have the right to their own beliefs and opinions and lifestyles they shouldnt be questioned for it
Its a personal choice, nothing wrong with either
yes because we need meats & proteins as part of our diet.
No, I don't think it's really bad in any way, but remember that humans are omnivores naturally. We evolved eating both meat and vegetables. But if one is a responsble vegetarian, and makes sure they eat a lot of beans and other high-protein non-meats, then yes I think being a vegetarian can be very good for one's health.
I don't think it's bad to be anything if that is what you want or believe. No one person can give you the answer you are seeking. It is within from yourself that the answer will come. And don't let anyone bully you into making their beliefs yours if with true conscience you do not believe. Believe what ever you want be yourself set outside of the box and let the true you shine. I hope I been some help to you. Remember be yourself eat meat or don't eat it. It's your decision, and after all you can always change your mind if you don't want to participate.
If you ask any vegetarian or vegan they are going to say with out a doubt ..It is not bad on any level ...............If you ask meat eaters some will say it is OK ..some will say it is not OK ....For me I am a vegan ...have been for 25 years .....healthy..happy...and strong .........but I have also taken more then 30 classes on nutrition during this time and read lots of books... I do it for moral reasons , but when I married and had children ..I needed to know the health issues..I have discovered that it is healthier , less disease, illness, and the fact that they live on average 8 years longer...so that should say it all...
no not so i think its better that i am not non -vegetarian because you know vegetarian have less risk of heart disease because when a person eats non veg the heart works twice as much as when you eat veg and you are also killing animals as well and eating them as well as egg also you break it but if you keep the same egg for days and give it good nourishment then it will hatch and become a chick. so listen to me and stop eating non veg.
NOT AT ALL
AFTER 1 WEEK, I STOPPED CRAVING MEAT
AFTER 2 WEEKS, I HATE THE SMELL OF MEAT
AFTER 5 YEARS, CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF MEAT
I'M YELLING THE TRUTH
since we are going there, meat is fine if you like and want it. you wont live longer not eating it or you wont live longer by eating it. only God knows how long you will live. eat what ever the hell it is that makes you happy, be it all vegetables or meat diet. but to let the rest of the veggies know, us meat eaters/omnivores dont live exclusively on meat alone. and i dont care one whit if a cow "suffers" before or after it is killed for my steak. and by the way, cows and pigs dont have personalities. they are dull and boring. not one bit of intelligence can be found in their minds. only instinct. and even single-celled organisms live by instinct. so stick that in your corncob pipe and smoke it. im on a roll tonite, drinking vegan whiskey.....made exclusively from corn, water and yeast.
no, i think it's unhealthy, gross, and cruel to eat flesh.
No. It can be quite healthy (if the diet has a correct balance of proteins) and I see nothing wrong with it moraly. It is simply that I have chosen not to be one.
The problem is that there are so many missconceptions about the subject. While it is much easier to get the many types of protein that a person needs to be healthy from meat, it is still possible to get them from different kinds of fruits and vegitables. You just have to be careful and make sure that you get all the kinds that you need.
There are those that say it is unbiblical to be a vegitarian or that God made us to eat meat, but this is simply not true. The Bible may give some guidelines about how to eat meat, but it does not say that we must. In fact, according to the Bible, Adam and Eve were told to eat fruits and vegitables as their "meat" (Genesis 1:29). It wasn't until hundreds of years later, after the flood, that God told man that he could eat meat (Genesis 9:3).
It is perfectly possible to live a very healthy life and still eat meat. Moderation is the key
Despite common belief, I have known vegetarians that were overweight. It is very possible to get fat off of vegies (especialy stuff like peanutbutter). Again, moderation is the key.
Also, no, that egg that you had for breakfast probably could not have become a liveing chicken as some (and I emphasize some) vegans love to claim, no mater how much care you give them. The eggs that you can buy at the store were layed by hens (female) that do not live around roosters (male). This means they are not fertilized and thus cannot produce a baby.
what could possibly be bad about it? Nothing has to bleed, scream, or die in order for me to stuff my face. I am a content veggie, so is my young daughter. Meat is disgusting, not just the animal cruelty, but the growth hormones, pesticides (from the grain they are fed) steroids, and antibiotics in the meat-all passes through to the consumer
no, its actually good for you
I think it's good in the sense that you are not killing as many animals as a meat eater. It's also a good health choice.
Were I have a problem with people being Vegetarian is when they claim to be for animal rights, yet are still consuming dairy and eggs. Which we all should know by now Dairy and eggs still end up killing the animals (not to mention subjecting them to all kinds of suffering). Vegetarianism is an inherently ethically inconsistent position with regards to animal rights/ abolitionist theory. Just as you can not be for ending slavery and still keep some slaves, you can not be for the rights of animals and still eat some animal products.
no , it is actually better being vegetarian
